Further Up and Further In

The first time she was a mother, we figured we were ready. Oh, how we learned.

The second baby we knew for only ten weeks. We were not ready for that either.

The third time she was a mother during one of the hardest times of our marriage, but she made her first baby girl, while learning how to forgive.

By the fourth baby she had it figured out, and was learning how to laugh through it.

The next baby evened the score. Two boys, two girls, and we were ready to take on the world.

Five and Six proved how adventerous she is, and how many challenges were to come.

Number seven was the balm none of us knew we needed.

As they grew, so did she. There was heartache and joy, more than she ever thought possible.

Moherhood is a journey, a bloodsport, a series of victories filled with seasons of anguish. Thank you to my wife. The most adventerous girl I know.
