I finished my fifth book. Yay!
Now, when a writer says they finished a book what they mean is that they typed THE END on the first draft of a book. That’s actually the true start of the book writing process, because that’s the moment when all of the painful work begins. My first book had eight drafts. This book is currently at 83,000 words and we will likely slay at least 5000 of those, or replace them with 2000 more. The military veteran editors especially always have a lot to say.
So as Han Solo once said, “This is where the fun begins.”
This is the fourth book in my Modern War series. It started with Beyond the Golden Hour, which followed the exploits of Aiden McCoy during a joint operations rescue mission in the mountains of Afghanistan. Next was The Stars and Their Places, which furthered Aiden’s storyline, focused heavily on the trauma and sacrifice military families endure, and included military action in Iraq and Syria. The most recent release, Pegasus, told the stories of Ginger Cooper, an Apache pilot in Iraq, and Navy SEAL Porter (from Golden Hour) operating as a DEVGRU SEAL in the same theatre.
Finishing this most recent book, the Untitled Book Four — as we call it around here — is bittersweet. It’s like saying goodbye to old friends. And even though I’ve got several spinoffs in the works, there is still a finality to some of the storylines I’ve been avoiding.
I hope you will consider purchasing the books in this series. They are available online wherever books are sold but if you order them from us you can deny Amazon, Barnes & Noble, etc., the royalty they don’t deserve. Ask any writer about that boondoggle.
If you enjoy them, please leave a review wherever you feel led, since that greatly increases their exposure (and helps us by bacon once in a while). *wink* You can find story details on Book Four in this post. Lord willing, we can release it this summer.
Thank you for your continued support and for allowing us to continue to fight for a restoration of America.

Want to continue to financially support our work? Please consider joining Movie Fight Club. A $30 annual subscription allows you to have pointless arguments with strangers about movies. It’s a fun weekly distraction from the battle raging across the globe.
Also, I have a U.S. Military History course for homeschoolers you might want to check out, free of politically correct nonsense.
From Lexington to Mosul: A complete study in US military history
Cost: $200/semester
Level: High School/Middle School*
In this sixteen-week course, students learn about every major military engagement, from the first shots fired at Lexington to the air war against ISIS.
I’d like to eventually release additional courses in both science and civics. (You can thank my wife for repeatedly bugging me about this.) Those of you who follow my Science Friday posts on Telegram, Truth Social, and Gab will understand the flavor.
